For hundreds of years, painters would set their easels in front of a painting in a museum and spend the day copying the work of a master painter.  It was a tried-and-true way to learn to paint.

In today’s world of you tube and AI, that method has fallen out of practice. But what have painters lost in the process?

In the first “Learning from the Masters” session, we will review the process and then paint a portion of a famous painting and see if we can capture the artist’s style, colors and more.

This is a members-only session for artists of any skill level who work in any medium. Bring  your paints, colored and graphic pencils or pastels and spend an hour in the “old fashioned” way of learning to paint. An I-Pad would be helpful to see details in a painting.
