January 29, 2025 from 10am-2pm - Landscapes (Pastels (continued))
In this class, students will continue their use of pastels and tackle the enduring subject of landscapes.
We take so many photos of beautiful scenery or moments that engage us. In this class, you are invited to bring along photos or images that interest you. Instructor will teach you how to select and work from your photo references. Using underpainting and good value selection, your image will be built up using hard and soft pastels to realize your photo on paper.
Instructor will also have photo references available and step-by-step instructions on how to go about painting a landscape.
This is a fun, relaxed class meant to be enjoyed on your own or with friends. I promise success!
Beginners and intermediate level welcome.
Supply List:
- Instructor will supply paper and sundries, plus student-grade pastels, for a supply fee of $5 per student. Please be prepared with cash on the day of class.
- Pastels do create dust, so please come prepared with an apron and dust mask if necessary. Bring gloves if that is your preference..
- If you have your own pastels, please bring along.
- Please bring a photo/image to paint.
- Attached list is just optional items - instructor provides required materials
