The instructor calls them that because they only imply a landscape and don’t describe it in detail. They are meant as abstract works of art to capture the overall feeling of a scene, and they remind him of mountains and canyons.
There are three different demos included: Misty Mountain ,South of Taco and Fire Ridge. You will watch the demos and then of course, put your own spin on your own piece.
Experience level - basic knowledge of acrylic paints and desire to learn abstract techniques
Supplies Required -Your own assortment of acrylic paints -3 canvases, boards -palette paper -paper towel -squirt bottle and water container - brushes, palette knives
